Michigan’s cannabis industry has seen transformative growth, overtaking California to become the top cannabis market by sales volume in the United States. Despite a smaller market size in dollar terms due to lower product prices, Michigan’s unit sales have surpassed those of California, selling 24.2 million units in May compared to California’s 17.3 million, as reported by Headset, another intelligence firm.
